Welcome to The Globe at Hay
A brand new art gallery space in Hay-on-Wye.
From the outside, The Globe is an attractive, but dormant, Methodist chapel. Inside however, it reveals itself as home to a lively arts community. Its
church facade remains yet inside it has been converted into a wonderful gallery; a colourful fusion of antique furniture, a Work-in-Progress
scaffolding balcony, and the several video art installations from artists of the Artscape Project.
Our upbeat cafe space (and its fully serviced bar) acts as a hub for a host of uniquely different events. Check this site to stay up-to-date with all
of the latest happenings, film screening, talks and family creative workshops at the Globe by visiting our events calendar. These will have regular
updates with the latest happenings, film screenings, talks and family workshops at The Globe.
The Globe at Hay is also proud to be home to the Institute of Art and Ideas: a charity whose aim is to promote all forms of creative expression. The
Globe at Hay acted as the exclusive venue for the IAI's last event, the Crunch. art festival and can also be hired out for private use.
