Hay and Talgarth

Talgarth Festival of The Black Mountain

For a really enjoyable and varied weekend this August Bank Holiday, pay a visit to Talgarth Festival of the Black Mountains. The festival is packed with events which cater for people of all ages and interests.

Festivities start on Saturday 29th August on Sunday 30th, ending with a grand Fireworks display. Talgarth’s livestock market will be host to demonstrations and exhibits relating to local agriculture & countryside crafts, as well as some animals. There will also be displays by Brecon Beacons National Park, Brecknock Wildlife Trust and similar organisations. Along the road by the river stalls will be selling a variety of products and there will be cookery demonstrations in a marquee - with free samples! Pubs and cafes will be offering a special meal using local produce (advisable to book early for this).

There will also be a craft fair in the Town Hall, the Gardening Club will hold their Annual Show and the Fire Station will be open to the public.
