Nordic Walking Taster SessionsVenue: National Park Visitors Centre, Libanus Time: 10.30am - 3.30pm
Nordic Walking Taster Sessions
Learn the basic techniques of Nordic Walking taught by Age Concern Cymru’s International Nordic Walking Association instructors.
Come and try out one of the fastest growing forms of physical activity in Europe in the grounds of the National Park Visitor Centre. You walk using a
pair of lightweight, specially designed poles which provide great support while increasing the effectiveness of the exercise. Nordic walking is great
all body exercise.
There will be two hours of instruction and training in the morning, followed by lunch and a walk around the Common in the afternoon. Bring a packed
lunch or have lunch in the tearooms. All equipment will be provided, but please wear your normal walking gear - walking shoes are better than boots
but either are fine. The instruction and walks will be graded so will be suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels especially people 50+.
Leaders: Age Concern Cymru’s International Nordic Walking Association Instructors, Paul Derrick, Marian Lewis & Glenn Little. These are partnership
events between Age Concern Cymru, the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Countryside Council for Wales.
