With its fast-growing reputation for sparkling virtuoso performances, New English Contemporary Ballet’s new programme gives audiences plenty
opportunity to be dazzled.
Richard Wherlock’s S(c)ent with its fluid, exquisitely shaped duets and trios provides the company’s dancers with a beautiful, lyrical platform for
their virtuosity whilst a new commission from the Italian choreographer Davide Bombana brings a distinctively neo-classical flavour to the show.
Completing the bill two young British choreographers, Jamie Thomson and Vanessa Fenton, offer contrasting takes on contemporary ballet which
demonstrate the versatility of this vibrant young company.
