In true Hungarian Gypsy Band style, bursts of soaring musical tragedy and czardas madness are delivered by this group with a passion and technical
virtuosity.
Multi-instrumentalist and world class violinist Tcha Limberger comes from a famous family of Gypsy musicians and grew up with the Gypsy-jazz style of
Django Reinhardt. Drawn to Hungarian gypsy music from an early age, he spent three years studying its roots in Budapest. Now just 30, he tours with
his orchestra of hand-picked Budapest Gypsy musicians. No ‘Primas’ playing in Budapest
commands such respect.
‘…caressing the strings at the fiercest tempos... Brilliancies came and went so fast that there was hardly time to applaud until the end.’
