Brecon Jazz Festival 25th anniversary

HSBC Brecon Jazz Festival August 7-10 2008

On the second weekend of August every year the pretty market town of Brecon nestling beneath the majestic Brecon Beacons comes alive to the rhythm of some of the world’s finest Jazz music. Many thousands of people flock to Brecon at this time to enjoy the music and festivities. Brecon Jazz creates a unique, vibrant atmosphere both for its audience and its galaxy of stars who love to return to this special festival. Celebrating 25 years of artistic excellence, Brecon Jazz brings an unmissable choice of 30+ concerts with many UK exclusives.

Some highlights in 2007 included Artist-in-Residence Joe Lovano, Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra with special guest Lulu, Curtis Stigers, Jessica Williams, Mulgrew Miller Trio, Jazz Jamaica, Tina May and Tony Coe, Mica Paris, Gilad Atzmon, Mingus Dynasty Band were just a few.In addition to the stellar concerts there are 50+ Stroller events plus a programme of free street music.
