Palleg & Swansea Valley Golf Club

Palleg Golf Club was founded in 1930
Situated approximately 20 miles from Swansea, in the upper Swansea valley. In 1964 due to the expansion of open cast mining in South Wales, the club was moved from its original site above the hamlets of Gurnos and Ystradgynlais, to its current location. The course is ideally located within the Brecon Beacons, which affords a lovely setting, on the hillside above the village of Lower Cwmtwrch.

Palleg Golf Club is an 18 hole course surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery deep in the heart of the Swansea Valley. The picturesque views are a wonderful backdrop for your game of golf. The course is of an average difficulty and will therefore appeal to both the beginner and the seasoned professional. Our signature hole (Little Mario) is sure to pose a challenge, although only a very short par 3 the green is extremely small and water comes into play in the form of a large pond.

Course open to the public 7 days a week.

The clubhouse at Palleg Golf Club provides a welcoming warm atmosphere to relax in either before or after your game. Meals are varied. The clubhouse has a capacity of 100. For those who like a drink with their food, there is a bar which serves the usual beers and spirits. Open Tues-Sun, Monday closed.
