Birch Tree BarnBirch Tree Barn is located approximately 10 minutes away from Abergavenny and has accommodation for 4 people in 2 bedrooms. It has recently been
completely renovated and turned into a very light, comfortable and warm cottage with windows on three sides looking out over meadows to the Black
Mountains.
The Barn, with its wood lap walls, is reached via exterior steps and is open plan with a large oak floored living area, exposed beams in the A frame
ceiling and large picture windows on three sides to take advantage of the lovely views. The living area is equipped with leather sofas and chairs, a
wall mounted flat screen digital TV/DVD and Wi-fi access.
The kitchen area is well designed with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, cafetiere, a full set of cooking utensils, dining
table and chairs.
The Master bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. The two bedrooms are carpeted and painted in restful Farrow and Ball
colours. The bathroom is well appointed containing a bath with a rose-head shower over, a handbasin and toilet. Bedlinen and towels are provided.
Downstairs there is a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and another shower and toilet. There is also a games table with games
that include football and table tennis for children.
The Barn has electricity, gas along with oil fired central heating. Mobile phone reception is good. A travel cot and highchair are available for
younger guests. A complimentary welcome pack will contain free range eggs (hens willing) from the hens that are roaming in the owners’ garden. There
is a garden beside the cottage with fruit trees, garden furniture and a BBQ.
Birch Tree Barn has ample parking and there are beautiful river walks within 10 minutes. The Barn has a ‘Cyclists and Walker Friendly’ Visit Wales
award and offers secure bike storage and a pressure washer. The National Cycle Network route 42 (Hay on Wye to Chepstow) is close by and escorted
mountain bike tours for all abilities are available by prior arrangement. The Barn has recycling facilities. Sorry not suitable for dogs.
