Martin Smith and Hester Rawlins are enthusiastic and passionate people who like nothing better than having the opportunity to show visitors the lesser known walks in the Brecon Beacons and other parts of Wales.
If you are a new visitor to the Brecon Beacons and want to do some hill walking we offer a half days familiarisation tour to show you how to access some of the very best walks in any of the three areas of the National Park with tips on the best routes to take depending upon your wishes and experience. The price is £25 per person (minimum 2 people) and covers one area of your choice Western, Central or Eastern.

For those who want a little excitement in their walks we have an adventure walk in the Upper Swansea Valley encompassing off path walking, a river crossing, some stories about the area, and navigation tuition. We need a minimum party of 6 to organise this walk which lasts about 6 hours. The cost is £20 per adult. Ask us to e mail you a leaflet.

If you want a short walk with interest then our 1 hour history walk around Penderyn might be for you. Find out Penderyn’s connections with Gavin and Stacey, William Shakespeare and The Emperor of China. For a group of 10 or more we can organise a morning or afternoon package comprising, history walk, morning coffee or afternoon tea and a visit to Wales only Distillery at Penderyn with a tasting session . Price £10.

We live very close to the waterfalls area in the Neath Valley and have a fantastic13 mile all day walk which covers 5 gorges and numerous waterfalls and includes morning coffee and a packed lunch for £20. You will also see caving, gorge walking and rock climbing on this walk and learn much about the area’s history and geology.

If you want to climb to the top of Pen Y Fan, the highest point in southern Britain and have a little more time then avoid the “motorway path “ from Storey Arms and come with us on a different route where you pass waterfalls, an aircraft war memorial and see the best of the Beacons walking on high ridges and maybe end the day in a great pub. Price including packed lunch is £20. Or yet another route with far superior views which takes no longer than the motorway path (about 4 hours) for £10.

These are just a small sample of walks we will be happy to guide you on.Check out our film of a walk in the Brecon Beacons
