Gliffaes Country House Hotel

Hidden of the beaten track in between the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains is one of Wales’s best kept secrets. Among the old trees, spacious lawns and with a commanding view of the River Usk is Gliffaes Country House, built in 1888. The same family has run the house as a hotel and fly-fishing lodge since 1948. Gliffaes has 33 acres of grounds and 3.5 miles of prime wild brown trout fishing on the River Usk.
