Abercynafon Farm BarnAbercynafon Farm Barn was converted in 2006 with great care and attention to detail, and sleeps up to 10 guests. This beautiful and unusual 19th
Century Grade II listed barn is attached to the owners farmhouse, though offers a high degree of privacy with a separate drive, entrance and garden.
The barn has underfloor heating throughout. There is a spacious, newly fitted kitchen with a large gas-fired cooker and hob, microwave, tall fridge
and dishwasher plus all you need for cooking for a large group. The dining area has an extended dining table and can seat 12-14 people.
Down a couple of steps from the kitchen is the large, oak beamed sitting room with a wood burning stove and comfortable sofas, TV and DVD. Enjoy the
panoramic views of the Talybont reservoir and surrounding mountains through the huge cart arch windows.
A hand-made, oak staircase leads to four en-suite bedrooms. There are also two separate toilets with hand basins. Bedroom 1 and 2 are generously sized
with an oak-framed double and single bed, two chest of drawers and hanging space. A ladder stair leads to a further mezzanine sleeping area with two
futon beds. Great fun for children!
Bedroom 3 has twin beds, a chest of drawers and hanging space. Bedroom 4 has a double bed, two chests of drawers and hanging space. It also has a
mezzanine sleeping area. All the bedrooms are beautifully renovated with great oak beams and oak floors. Attractive circular stone windows look on to
the circular front garden and offer wonderful views in every direction.
Off the kitchen there is a good-sized utility room with a washing machine, freezer and additional storage space. Adjoining is a drying room for coats
and boots, with a toilet and hand basin.
Double doors from the sitting room give access to a sheltered sitting-area in the rear garden with wooden table, benches and BBQ.
Energy and water-use efficiency and recycling are encouraged, being fundamental to the ecological ethics on which Abercynafon Farm is run.
