Wye Valley CanoesAt Wye valley Canoes you can hire Canadian canoes, double kayaks or single kayaks and paddle off downstream to Hay-on-Wye which is 5 miles and will
take you 2 hours, or to the Boat Inn at Whitney which is approx 10 miles and will take you 4 hours.
We are situated on the banks of the River Wye just a few yards from Glasbury Bridge and approximately five minutes by car from the bookshop town of
Hay-on-Wye.
For the more adventurous try camping or B&B'ing it down the Wye. When you reach your destination you telephone us and we come and collect you in
our minibus and return you to your car in Glasbury.

Canadian canoes are ideal for two adults and a small child
Whether you are off for a few hours or a few days we provide all the equipment you will need - boat, paddle, buoyancy aid, waterproof barrels to store
your kit and a map. This equipment and recovery by minibus from wherever you get to is included in the hire charge. We give you a safety talk before
you set out but no previous experience is necessary in the canoes or the double kayaks. Previous experience preferred for kayaking.
COURSES - a great base for those organising canoe or water based activities, we have hosted everything from Health and Safety and First Aid Courses to
Writers Workshops, Tourism Lectures and River Rescue Courses and Canoe Clubs.
